Couple of hours run out. Recommend a quick detour to Hay Tor from Bovey
Bit of everything, but depends on traffic
Phil and Liz weekend 2018
70 miles. Mostly (90%) national speed limit roads with pretty villages to ride slowly through. Not many fast straights but SO MANY long fast bends and lots of testing twisties . Beautiful N Devon rolling countryside to catch the corner of your eye. Ride this at leisure for pleasure or fast for major grin! Avoids the major holiday fraffic roads so traffic is usually light and no end of overtaking places . Can't go wrong. Today the route took me 90 minutes which does not include a 10 minute stop at the petrol station in launceston(just around the corner from the mini -roundabout).
A roads to Land's End photo return the scenic way including the King Harry Ferry. Road surfaces vary. Petrol between Helston and Trelissick are all on the right hand side although the Falmouth petrol station is on a roundabout.
I threw in some back roads to check out good alternative if heavy traffic or roads closed.
Plenty of hazards to test what level you're at
Great little section to break up the A303, the extra distance is well worth the ride, the Three Daggers cafe and pub in Edington are a great place for non service station food and drink.
A round trip day out Plymouth Litas joined Calne Litas for lunch at the Riverside Inn Cheddar. The Fosse way (podimore to shepton mallet) is straight but significant number of potholes) Petrol stops for smaller tanks at Exeter services Podimore and Wells Morrison's
Good way to get to the s bomb
In my opinion this has to be one of the top 5 routes in Cornwall for views and twisties. On a clear day as you head out of Kingsand the views along the coast are 2nd to none with great photo opportunities on route and good places to stop for refreshments along the way, from cliff top cafes to beach cafes and local pub there is plenty to choose from. The road along the coast does have some pot hols so be warned but certainly not enough to spoil a glorious ride.
Includes Toll Ferry At Sandbanks Studland 7Fare id 1 GBP
Motorcycles can push to front!
Large circular from Exmouth and back
A nice road to drive in a convenient location. Lots of attractions. Beautiful vegetation, but not much in the way of views until you get a bit closer to Newbury. A variety of different types of corners. Occasionally you might come across tractors and wild life, but mostly quite safe. No fixed speed cameras. However, a mobile speed camera is often positioned in Leckford during week days. Apart from that there is almost no police presence. Overall a great road to take your other half to for a nice day out.
Down via Bodmin Back via camelford
Bridgwater to Barnstaple following the A39 coast road
Lots or corners, ponies, sheep and cattle grids. Odd bit of sudden gravel and pot holes right on the line
B road bimble
lovely little curvy Cotswold backroad with historic buildings, rivers and pubs. recently resurfaced. some single track sections can creep up on you. otherwise good fun
Lovely national speed limit sections, sweeping bends the odd hairpin and Poole quay to finish! Do on a Tuesday evening and it's bike night.
Awesome fast and bendy roads
General circular tour of Somerset
